NANLITE has announced the FC-60B and FC-120B, the latest additions to their compact COB LED fixture lineup. These new models offer high performance and multiple powering options, including USB-Power Delivery. Designed for portability and flexibility, they join the existing FC-300B and FC-500B in the compact FC series.

It’s been a while since NANLITE introduced a new COB light, as the brand has focused recently on expanding their LED panel lineup. However, the latest announcement marks a return to studio LED fixtures with the launch of the FC-60B and FC-120B. These new additions are designed for users seeking compact, high-performance lighting solutions, offering the convenience of portability along with professional features.

These compact lights offer high performance with multiple power options, including USB-PD and V-Mount batteries. They feature a wide CCT range of 2700 – 6500 K, excellent color accuracy with CRI 96 and TLCI 98, and multiple control methods such as on-board, Bluetooth, and DMX/RDM. The FC-60B and FC-120B also include advanced cooling systems with four fan modes and use the proprietary FM mount, with an included Bowens adapter for compatibility with a wide range of accessories.

Versatile Lighting With High Color Accuracy

The two new FC-series lights, FC-60B and FC-120B, offer a wide CCT range of 2700 – 6500 K, making them adaptable to various lighting conditions. The COB chip boasts high color accuracy, with a CRI of 96 and a TLCI of 98, ensuring that the colors captured on set are true to life. They feature both Maximum output mode, which delivers the highest brightness for the chosen color temperature, and Constant output mode, which ensures consistent brightness across the entire CCT range.

Compact Design With Flexible Powering

The FC-60B and FC-120B lights offer multiple power options, including USB-PD, which allows them to be conveniently powered with a power bank. They can also be powered by an optional V-Mount battery grip and an AC power adapter, while the FC-60B can also use NP-F batteries. Their compact and lightweight design enhances portability, with the FC-60B weighing 700 g and the FC-120B weighing 980 g and the new, redesigned battery grips allowing handheld operation.

Control Methods and User Interface

Users can control the lights directly with onboard controls, use the built-in 2.4G for a handheld remote, or manage settings via Bluetooth with the NANLINK 2.0 app, which supports multiple NANLITE and NANLUX lights. For advanced setups, DMX/RDM connections allow for networking lights and integrating with professional lighting consoles. Additionally, the lights feature four fan modes—Smart, Full Speed, Low Speed, and OFF—to ensure they run as quietly as possible, especially during live recordings and other situations where background noise needs to be minimized.

Expanded Accessory Compatibility

Being more compact than their predecessors, the FC-60B/120B lights use a proprietary FM mount. This design supports a comprehensive NANLITE accessory ecosystem, including reflectors, softboxes, Fresnel lenses, and more. The built-in umbrella mount provides a budget-friendly option for added flexibility. Additionally, the included Bowens adapter ensures compatibility with even wider variety of accessories, expanding the creative possibilities for users.

The FC-60B and FC-120B lights are priced approximately at €199.90 and €304.90, respectively. Currently, they are available for preview on authorized dealers’ websites, though preorder options are not yet available. According to the NANLITE US website, the lights are expected to be available for purchase in mid-September.
