Nanlux Introduces Evoke 5000B – the Industry’s First 5000W Bi-Color LED with a Wide CCT Range & G/M Adjustment

The Evoke 5000B is the first 5000 W bi-color COB LED light with full green/magenta adjustment, bringing a new level of output and control to professional lighting. Developed by Nanlux, it integrates a high-efficiency light engine, an IP66-rated housing, and an all-in-one design for improved on-set performance. With advanced dimming and multiple control options, it aims to provide a powerful alternative to traditional HMI and tungsten high-output fixtures.

The film and television industry has been steadily shifting toward more energy-efficient fixtures, but high-output lighting have largely remained reliant on traditional HMI and tungsten sources. While LED technology has taken over in many lower-power applications, few options exist at the top end of the spectrum. The Nanlux Evoke 5000B is set to challenge this, bringing 5000 W of bi-color LED power into a single, stormproof fixture. Designed for demanding production environments, it offers a level of output and flexibility that could position it as a serious alternative to conventional high-powered lights.

By combining the lamp head, power supply, and control unit into one streamlined fixture, the Evoke 5000B simplifies setup and on-set management. Its self-developed Nebula B4 Light Engine delivers a 2700 – 6500 K CCT range with precise color control, eliminating the need for gels. The output rivals that of a 9 kW HMI or 24 kW tungsten light, and with smooth dimming down to 0.1%, it’s built for both high-intensity and subtle lighting applications. With an IP66-rated housing, it’s also designed to withstand harsh weather conditions, making it a reliable option for both studio and location shoots.

The Nanlux Evoke 5000B is the first bi-color LED spotlight to reach a 5000 W power draw, delivering output comparable to high-powered HMI and tungsten fixtures. While other brands offer high-output LED fixtures, none combine this level of power with full green/magenta control and an all-in-one weatherproof design. By offering all three in a single fixture, the Evoke 5000B positions Nanlux at the forefront of ultra-high-powered LED lighting, providing a serious alternative to traditional sources.

Nebula B4 Light Engine With Advanced Color Accuracy

At the core of the Evoke 5000B is Nanlux’s self-developed Nebula B4 Light Engine, designed to maximize white light efficiency while delivering precise color control. Unlike conventional bi-color fixtures, this system combines four types of white light chips for seamless adjustment across the 2700 – 6500 K range. With ±80 green/magenta correction, it eliminates the need for gels and makes it easier to match other light sources on set. By improving efficiency over full-color light engines, the Nebula B4 system provides 30% more white light output at the same power input.

Built Tough With an All-in-One IP65-Rated Design

The Evoke 5000B features an IP66-rated housing, providing full protection against dust, heavy rain, and harsh conditions, making it a reliable choice for studio and location shoots. Its magnesium alloy construction enhances durability while keeping it manageable for transport and rigging. Weighing 46 kg, it remains significantly lighter than high-output fixtures that require separate ballasts and power distribution. By integrating the lamp head, power supply, and control unit into a single fixture, Nanlux has streamlined setup, reduced cable clutter, and improved overall workflow efficiency.

Precision, Stability, and Performance on Set

Keeping a high-output fixture stable and easy to adjust is essential for on-set efficiency, and the Evoke 5000B is designed with precise control in mind. Its yoke features a disc brake system that locks securely in place, preventing unwanted tilting once the angle is set. Balance-adjusting rails on both sides allow flexible positioning, ensuring the fixture remains stable regardless of mounted accessories. A built-in skid elevates the fixture to prevent wear, improves transport efficiency by enabling stacking, and absorbs impact through a spring mechanism, extending its service life.

Versatile Control and Accessory Compatibility

The Evoke 5000B is built to integrate seamlessly into professional lighting setups with a range of control options. It features onboard and Nanlink app controls, a new wired controller for stable operation when rigged at height, and support for industry-standard protocols, including DMX/RDM, Art-Net/sACN, and LumenRadio CRMX. Designed around the NL mount system, it remains compatible with existing accessories from the Evoke 2400B while also introducing new tools like a motorized Fresnel lens and motorized yoke.
