Godox has just rolled out an exciting update to one of its crowd favorites, introducing the V1Pro flash. This advanced model introduces a series of significant updates designed to cater to the dynamic needs of professional photography. Among its standout features, the V1Pro includes a detachable SU-1 subflash, that acts as the perfect fill light, giving photographers a greater level of control and flexibility with more freedom to play with shadows and highlights.
But that’s not all. The V1Pro is stepping up its game with some serious power upgrades, including a new VB30 rechargeable battery. This powerhouse can handle up to 100 full-power flashes in a burst, and with a USB-C port, charging is quick and easy. For extended shooting sessions, the V1Pro offers an external power port, allowing for continuous use with a power pack. Additionally, the V1Pro features a one-click TTL / M switch, simplifying toggling between automatic and manual modes.

An All-Around Wireless Connection
The Godox V1Pro is fully integrated with the 2.4 GHz Wireless Godox X triggering system, making it compatible with all Godox flashes and triggers. This functionality allows for easy setup of diverse lighting scenarios, enabling the V1Pro to either trigger other lights or be triggered by a separate transmitter, simplifying the creation of complex lighting arrangements and ensuring smooth operation across your entire flash setup.
New Features, Familiar Feel
The new flash brings in new features but keeps much from the V1 that photographers have grown to love. It has the same round head design that works with magnetic modifiers, making it easy to adjust your lighting on the fly. The power output is still 76 Ws, matching the V1, so the light strength you’re used to hasn’t changed. It also keeps high-speed sync (HSS) up to 1/8000 s, front and rear curtain sync, flash exposure compensation, and a 28-105 mm zoom range. This mix of old and new makes the V1Pro feel familiar but with added capabilities, keeping what was good about the V1 while improving where it counts.
